10 Gluten Free Healthy Recipes

Nowadays, it’s hard to walk the aisles of a grocery store without seeing the words “gluten-free” in bold print on many of the packages. And it is for good reason, as gluten essentially causes irritation in your gut, due to the proteins that are in wheat products, which ultimately causes an inflammatory response. While gluten doesn’t affect everyone negatively, more and more of the population are discovering that they become victims when gluten hits their digestive track.

If you want to ensure that you aren’t a victim of the negative side effects of gluten, here are ten simple recipes that will keep you in the clear.

  1. Strawberry and spinach salad. Slice up some strawberries and toss them on a cup or two of spinach to get your fruit and veggies in one tasty dish. Feel free to top it with olive oil to add a little extra flavor.

  2. Sautéed spinach and shrimp with garlic. This will fill you up and leave your taste buds satisfied.

  3. Roasted asparagus and mushrooms. Top this with rosemary for a savory seasoning. The beauty of this dish is that it can be served as a side dish or for the main meal.

  4. Chicken, asparagus and mushroom skillet. Cook the chicken first, and then add the veggies with some garlic, oregano and basil.

  5. Green beans and tomatoes. Boil some beans and top with chopped tomatoes and basil and you’ll have another spin on caprese.

  6. Sautéed Bok Choy with garlic and lemon. Bok Choy is naturally filled with a spicy flavor that prevents you from having to add a whole lot of other ingredients.

  7. Cauliflower and broccoli salad. Sautee a red onion cut in small chunks. Top the chopped cauliflower and broccoli with onions and you’ll have a salad that is jam-packed with flavor.

  8. Lemon chicken and broccoli. Drizzle some lemon on a chicken breast and bake until the chicken is cooked through. Meanwhile, steam the broccoli and top with the remaining lemon juice.

  9. Collard greens with onions. Start by cooking the onions. After you set aside those items, sauté the collard greens, then join the three ingredients to take the greens up a notch.

  10. Cod Florentine. Cook the Cod on the stove with lemon and garlic. Place on a bed of freshly sautéed spinach with olives.
